Elizabeth Topoluk
Elizabeth Topoluk is the Executive Director of Friends of Education, a Minnesota nonprofit which authorizes thirteen charter schools serving more than 9,000 students. SchoolDigger.com rated eight Friends of Education schools in the top 25 of all Minnesota’s 441 public school districts for 2017, with Friends of Education schools earning the 1st and 2nd place ratings.
Friends of Education also supports programs which emphasize critical thinking with demonstrated evidence of increasing student achievement and post-secondary readiness. In this regard, Friends of Education worked with the National Math and Science Institute to increase the Advanced Placement Offerings in all Minnesota public high schools.
Beth was previously the Assistant General Counsel of TCF Financial Corporation, a $22 billion national bank holding company. Beth is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Minnesota and is a frequent lecturer in continuing legal education courses. Beth also serves on the boards of Propel Nonprofits (previously known as “Nonprofits Assistance Fund” and MAP for Nonprofits) and the Minnesota Association of Charter Schools.
