The Flaherty Family Foundation empowers high-potential Scholars in faith-based college preparatory high schools with scholarships, matched with personalized coaching and mentoring for academic achievement, college and career readiness, and opportunities to reach their God-given potential.
This support is extended specifically to Scholars spanning across multiple states, including Minnesota, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Through this comprehensive approach, Scholars excel academically, develop their soft skills, and positively contribute to their families and communities.
Our Scholars
Flaherty Scholars, known for their exceptional work ethic and resilience, are driven individuals with a commitment to earning a college degree. They not only excel academically, but also make positive contributions to their communities, embodying leadership and a responsibility for shaping their own journey.
Beyond scholarships, Flaherty Scholars receive vital guidance in various life aspects, including responsibility, self-awareness, lifelong learning, emotional intelligence, self-confidence, interdependence, self-motivation, and self-management skills. Currently there are nearly 400 Flaherty Scholars enrolled in more than 30 high schools and more than 350 Scholars enrolled in college.
Eligibility
In pursuit of its mission and vision, the Flaherty Family Foundation engages in a collaborative partnership with its affiliated high schools. This close relationship allows the Foundation to proactively identify eligible Scholars who exhibit remarkable potential.
Students and families who meet the specific criteria set forth by the Foundation receive a distinct invitation to directly apply for the Flaherty Family Foundation’s pre-collegiate scholarship opportunity. This selection process is designed to ensure that those who demonstrate exceptional promise and meet the eligibility requirements gain access to the personalized support they require to thrive academically and beyond.
